Home defense rifle safes. So, your home defense firearm of choice is a rifle. Learn the right methods to secure it so it’s quickly accessible and kept out of the hands of unauthorized people.
Handgun storage options that allow for instant access for home defense are quite plentiful. They are also pretty easy to find room for. Rifles, on the other hand, aren’t so easy to store where they aren’t accessible by unauthorized people or children and immediately accessible for defense purposes. Recently, I was asked what options are available and put together some information to help this client out. Hopefully, it can help you too.
For starters, here’s a pretty good video that gives an overview of some of the options out there. I am not a fan of any of the models discussed, but it is good to give an idea of what to look for and the questions to be asking yourself.

Under Bed Safes

Vaultek Rifle Safes
I have saved the best for last. These home defense rifle safes by Vaultek would satisfy multiple purposes depending on where you put them. There are three different sizes in the RS (Rifle Safe) Series by Vaultek. This has become the solution I have chosen for my defensive rifles and my defensive pistols. They are the mack daddy in my opinion if you are looking for a high tech safe. They are a bit on the pricier side but worth every penny. In Closing
The gentleman in the first video is not a fan of the electronics. I don’t see them as a problem provided you keep batteries charged and are well versed in invoking all the access options quickly, which, like anything, requires practice.
For quick access securing of a pistol, my only recommendation is the Vaultek products. You can see them here. They are the only options I use in both my house and vehicles. I am always sure to have a variety of Vaultek safes in my classes to allow students the opportunity to try them out.
